STEVE DIVER

Steve Diver - Guitar, Vocal

A hardened musician with many years experience behind him, Steve has been described as sitting somewhere between Chris Isaak and Buddy Holly. "As a child my memories of hoiday camp talent competitions being the main focus of the week spurned a love for entertaining an audience through music." It seems Butlins and Pontins are owed thanks.

The release of his first single with London based band 'the Poor Boys', Move Baby Move, by Rhythm & Blues Label ACE RECORDS lead by entrepreuer TED CARROL was the stepping stone to a period of success in the USA. This was followed by two further albums in 1987/88. Some of these tracks are still available on ACE compilation CDs.

Other members of the band went on to play with MORRISEY. Supremo BOZ BOORER went on to release many other tracks on his own label. These may be obtained from his stall in Camden lock, now run by his wife Linda. Steve's affiliation with the WELL STUDIO was born when on his return from the USA he chose to take a degree. A production of GREASE led to an introduction to music men DAVE PATRICK and SIMON BURGES.

Steve has recorded several tracks for the Well. Never Gonna Let You Down was recorded for Above & Beyond CD in March '95 and the upbeat 'Don't Waste My Time' features on VISION. Steve has assured us that he has "plenty more songs like these up his sleeve".
